CAREER OBJECTIVE

In the early stages of my career as a Veterinary Nurse, I had a focus on surgical nursing and patient care, however as my skills developed I had more of a passion for practice management and administration. After working at various Veterinary Hospitals in Melbourne and London, I was approached to help set up a new referral specialist clinic for Veterinary Ophthalmology in Mount Waverley in 2004. As a practice manager and senior nurse, I was in charge of the daily operations of the practice. Following getting married and having kids, I continued to work part time and have been a loyal employee for an impressive 12 years.

I’ve always been passionate about interior styling and design so I decided to turn my creativity into another fulfilling career. In order to achieve this transition into a new industry, I completed my studies of Professional Styling at Mercer School of Interior Design. I learned essential creative and practical skills such as how to communicate visual ideas through presentations, drawings and mood boards, how to source and style for a photo shoot or event, as well as work on a portfolio of work. The course gave me expertise for building beautiful vignettes, tabletops, product styling, editorials and event styling.

Next came my passion for property styling. My natural ability to achieve an overall visual aesthetic to a property filled me with excitement. Buying a home is such an emotional purchase. I believe it’s all about the “feel” you obtain when you enter a home for the very first time. A well presented home allows the potential buyer to visualise a lifestyle there and just like that, the emotional connection begins.

My strengths are my organisational skills, attention to detail and delivering high quality work. With my strong work ethic, decision making skills and adaptability, I am able to work within teams or on my own if required. I am a practical person who is highly motivated and very reliable.
